Located at 2139 Sooke Road, the West Shore Organic Teaching Garden is a partnership between the YMCA-YWCA of Vancouver Island and School District 62. Featuring an orchard of heritage apple trees, herb beds and berry patches, a perennial garden, large raised garden beds, and a productive vegetable garden, the Teaching Garden has grown from humble beginnings in 2008 as a barren patch of schoolyard thanks to the efforts of our volunteers and supporters.
If you are interested in renting a garden box ($30+tax/year per 7’x3’x2’ box) or in volunteering opportunities at the Teaching Garden please contact the firstname.lastname@example.org.
