Business Meeting shall include:

  • Approval of the minutes of the Annual General Meeting held June 19, 2019
  • Receipt of the Financial Statements & Auditors Report for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2019
  • Appointment of Auditors for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2020
  • Confirmation of Directors as submitted by the Nominating Committee
  • Reports from the Board Chair & Chief Executive Officer

We strongly suggest participants visit Zoom prior to the AGM to become familiar with this platform.

Voting Members shall be entitled to vote at the Annual General Meeting as per the YMCA-YWCA bylaws. A Voting Member is any person 18 years of age and older who upholds the Mission and purpose of the Association and who is:

  • An Association Member – an individual who has made a receipted donation of a minimum of $100 in each of the two preceding calendar years (2018, 2019)
  • A Director

Voting Members will receive an invitation by email indicating they qualify as a voting member.


The Association is open to all who wish to participate in one or more of its programs and who pay the program fees. Program participants are individuals who participate in any program or service that the Association operates but not limited to Childcare, Camping & Outdoor Education, Community Health Programs, Health fitness & Aquatic Facility Membership, and Supported Housing. Program participants are welcome to attend the AGM as a guest but are not voting members unless otherwise qualified as a voting member described above.

This meeting will be conducted online via ZOOM at the YMCA-YWCA of Vancouver Island Administration Offices at #202 – 1314 Lakepoint Way in Langford, BC.  In person attendance is not available.
