Drop In Classes

There’s strength in numbers! Improve your fitness in a motivating group of your peers. We offer classes for individuals of all fitness abilities. You’ll have fun while a certified Y instructor guides you and your group to better health.


BARRE

Barre is a fusion of Ballet, Pilates, Yoga and Fitness exercises. Using a ballet barre, the body is supported while exercises focus on low impact movement with smaller range of motion and higher repetitions. Light weights and small equipment is often incorporated. Barre is suitable for all fitness levels. No dance experience is required. Barre classes are included in memberships for Classic and Premium members only. Sign up is required, please pick up a ticket from the Membership Services Desk up to one hour before class.


BOOTCAMP

Bootcamp utilizes your own body as the resistance to create a fun and challenging cardio, core and strength workout. There will be squats, lunges, burpees, agility drills, core work on the mat and much more.


BOSU BOX

 The ultimate cardio, strength, and agility workout done up BOSU style! This class integrates simple choreographed fights using basic punches and kicks with power intervals, balance and strength training exercises targeting all major muscles groups. All levels and abilities welcome.


CARDIO DANCE

Get a great cardio workout while dancing to popular music. Learn various routines while you sweat.


CARDIO FIT

This class offers a cardio workout of high or low impact choreography designed to help raise your heart rate and improve aerobic endurance.


CARDIO,STRENGTH AND STRETCH

20 minutes of cardio, 20 minutes of strength work using bars, hand weights, balls and 20 minutes of PNF or resistive stretching to achieve ultimate flexibility.


CARDIO AND STRENGTH

25 minutes of Hi-Lo Cardio Choreography followed by 25 minutes of strength work using equipment to maximize endurance and toning. A quick cooldown/stretch and you are on your way.


CYCLEFIT

Join us for the ultimate intensive workout combining both aerobic and anaerobic exercise through drill training and speed work. Build strength, endurance and flexibility in a fun environment that lets you modify your own intensity! Please bring a water bottle and towel. Space is limited – please pick up a ticket from the Membership Services Desk.


KICKBOXING

Learn the basics of kickboxing in this challenging class using thai pads, heavy bags, focus mitts, speed and conditioning drills. This is an all levels, non-contact class.


NIA

A class combining dance movements, martial arts moves, infused with subtle therapeutic techniques to heighten body awareness and rediscover joy in movement.


ON THE BALL

This class focuses on strength, endurance and balance training, all by working on the ball.


PILATES

A safe, challenging and revitalizing workout for stronger, leaner, longer muscles along with increased flexibility and relaxation.


SENIOR CARDIO

A safe, well-rounded program, focusing on participant’s needs. Includes low impact aerobics with simple choreography with both a muscular strength and stretch component.


SENIOR STRENGTH

Safe, effective, light, low-impact and strength exercises increase mobility, dexterity and fitness.


STEP & STRENGTH

This high-energy class combines cardiovascular choreography using the step, easily adaptable to different fitness levels, and includes a strength –conditioning component.


STRENGTH EXPRESS

A weight training class focusing on compound (working two muscle groups at once) exercises.


TOTAL BODY STRENGTH

A free weight class featuring strength and resistance exercises that will get your muscles working and body sweating, without hard to follow choreography! Suitable for all levels. It’s a strength class like no other.


TRX

Training that uses your own body weight and gravity to build strength, balance, coordination, flexibility and core. This variety-based class will challenge you for a total body workout. Space is limited – please pick up a ticket from the Membership Services Desk.


YOGA

Flow through a series of postures that work to stretch, strengthen and tone your muscles while calming and connecting the mind, body and spirit. Engage in a Yoga practice that is right for you by modifying or intensifying postures to fit your comfort level. Easy to follow format, all levels welcome.


IYENGAR YOGA

This approach to yoga creates a dynamic balance between flexibility, strength and endurance with an emphasis on precision of movement and correct body alignment. The practice of yoga promotes health, vitality, concentration and relaxation through the integration of body, mind and spirit..

This approach to yoga creates a dynamic balance between flexibility, strength and endurance with an emphasis on precision of movement and correct body alignment. The practice of yoga promotes health, vitality, concentration and relaxation through the integration of body, mind and spirit.


TEEN ORIENTATIONS (13-15 YEARS)

Learn how to create and implement a strength training plan that is right for you. Once you take this session, you can use the cardio and strength training machines on your own – anytime you want.
Registration in advance is required for these classes.


SMALL GROUP PERSONAL TRAINING

Small group training is an innovative way to reap the benefits of working with a Y Personal Coach, in a semi-private manner! With up to 10 people per class, it provides a more personalized approach to improving your overall strength, endurance, balance, agility and core! These classes help you improve your physical skills and reach your goals in a friendly and motivating atmosphere, by encouraging more individual progress and skill development.

Small Group Training is offered to CLASSIC and PREMIUM membership types only and requires signing up 2 days in advance

Personal Coaching

Wherever you are in your fitness journey, a Y trainer can help you reach your fitness goals faster, and have more fun along the way. Is your workout getting stale? Are you looking to get to the next level? Or do you just need some help getting started? A Y trainer will work with you to create a workout plan and then help guide you through it.

INCLUDED PERSONAL COACHING

A limited number of Personal Coaching Sessions are INCLUDED in Classic and Premium memberships! Classic members are able to book a Personal Coaching Session once every two months, Premium members are able to book a Personal Coaching Session once every two weeks. There is no fee for these Included sessions.

ADDITIONAL PERSONAL COACHING

Need more than once every two weeks or months? Additional Personal Coaching Sessions may be booked for $38 + GST/session.
This option is available only to Classic and Premium members.
