Located in beautiful downtown Victoria, the Downtown Y Child Care Centre offers 25 licensed spaces for children ages 30 months-5 years. Located within the Downtown Y facility, the child care is surrounded by local parks, within easy walking distance to the Victoria Public Library and other great community resources.
Due to the high demand for childcare spaces all spaces are available for full time care only.
Fees: $200 per month
We are pleased to announce that the Downtown YMCA-YWCA Child Care was selected as a British Columbia’s $10 a day ChildCareBC program (this agreement expires February 28, 2027 with the possibility of renewal).
Child Care fees include all program costs; including enriched program activities and a nutritious morning and afternoon snack.
Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
Our programs close for Statutory holidays, 3 staff professional development days, and for a winter break at the end of December. Closure dates will be confirmed with registered families each calendar year.
